Delving into the world of style can be overwhelming—there’s a lot of history here, a lot of nuance, and it’s not always easy to separate the timeless from the trendy. Luckily, we’ve cultivated a collection of men's essentials over the years that provide a solid starting point for anyone looking to strengthen their personal style foundation. These are pieces that go with anything, that will stand the test of time, and that form the basis of just about every classic look out there. From denim to shirting to comfortable t-shirts, these are—true to their name—absolute essentials; gear that everyone should have at the ready no matter what the day holds in store.

We keep our Essentials in stock year-round, and they remain some of our most popular styles thanks to their unparalleled versatility and ruggedness. Of course, per our standards, these pieces are also manufactured responsibly and make use of environmentally-friendly materials like organic cotton and recycled/upcycled polyester. To help us demonstrate just how much mileage you can get out of these pieces, we asked our buddy—UK-based content creator/menswear maven—Efe Efeturi to showcase some everyday ensembles with a focus on the basics. Pairing a selection of our Essential oxford shirts (The Jack in Everyday Oxford, The Jack in Indigo Star), trousers (The Slim Chino), and knits (The Heavy Bag Baseball Tee) with some of his favorite showstoppers (The Cuyama Jacket, The Slim Jean in 24-Month Wash, The California in Natural Hemp, The Ranch Boot), Efe created a slew of sharp, timeless looks that really illustrate just how far a solid foundation can take you.

Whether you’re starting from scratch or simply filling some gaps in your wardrobe, you’ll be well on your way to making it look as effortless as Mr. Efeturi does.

Monday

Start your week off right with an Everyday Oxford, paired with our Cuyama and the denim of your choice. Throw in some Ranch boots to show them who’s boss.

Tuesday

Mix things up with some chinos. They’re the perfect bridge between jeans and some nice trousers, while helping you look the part in essentially any setting.

Wednesday

The California in Natural Hemp is a perfect alternative to the white button up as it sheds some texture while still keeping your look refined. Rock this guy with some chinos and call it a day.

Thursday

Khaki chinos don’t have to be boring—not only are they a timeless staple, but they can be the canvas to the rest of your wardrobe. Pair with your favorite button down and some boots and you’ve got yourself a fit that’s bound to turn heads.

Friday

Cap the workweek off with The Cuyama and your favorite patterned button down. This outfit means you can transition from the cafe, to the office, then to cocktails after work without a sweat.

Saturday

The weekend means coffee with friends, a day at the park (or both). Throw on your favorite tee with a pair of chinos and you’ll look the part—always.
