Throughout Cone Mills' long history—right up until its closure in late 2017, at which point it was the last remaining selvage denim mill in the US—its name was synonymous with exceptional quality. When we recently discovered a trove of deadstock Cone selvage denim, we knew right away that we had to honor that incredible legacy with some classic blue jeans. Thus, The Democratic Jean in Cone Mills Reserve—a timeless, rugged pair of pants, built to our exacting standards and cut from Cone Mills selvage denim. With this limited, American-made piece, we're thrilled to give long-time denim heads and newcomers alike one last chance to experience what makes Cone Mills special.
Cone Mills' hard-won reputation for superior quality is on full display here—this 100% cotton selvage denim weighs in at 13 ounces and will break in and fade beautifully with each wash and wear, ultimately resulting in a totally unique piece that you can wear proudly for years. Classic red-thread selvage accents—a Cone innovation, historically used to demarcate denims of the highest quality—and signature TS detailing throughout round out this sturdy, relaxed-fitting pair of jeans.
