To help celebrate our collaborative capsule with Fourtillfour, we teamed up with our buddy and legendary SF bartender Andrew Calisterio to create an all new, Four Coffee cocktail.

Beehive bartender Andrew Calisterio prepping his bar

If you haven’t already met him, Andrew’s been an ambassador for TS as well as the folks up at Westward Whiskey for a while now. We recently popped over to his home bar at The Beehive where he dreamt up The Day Tripper—a cocktail consisting of Fourtillfour’s Sunday Motor Club Blend and some of our favorite Westward Whiskey.

All the ingredients needed to create the Day Tripper

Here’s what you need to make it at home—

Ingredients for The Day Tripper laid out on a bar.

The Day Tripper

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Strainer
  • Rocks/Old Fashioned Glass (or Coupe if serving up)
  • Ice (cubes for shaking, rock for finished drink)
  • 1½oz Westward Whiskey
  • 1oz Fourtillfour chilled coffee (cold brew ideal)
  • ¾oz fresh pineapple juice
  • 2 dashes saline (salted water) or pinch of sea salt
  • ¼oz Rich Simple Syrup
  • 2 dashes Chocolate Bitters
  1. Measure and pour ingredients into your shaker. I typically like to start with ingredients that compliment the spirit first (juices) then adding my spirits, finishing with punctuations (i.e. bitters.) That way, if you make a mistake or have to substitute an ingredient, you’re not stuck wasting good booze.
  2. Shake vigorously with ice. It not only chills, but also aerates the drink pulling out the full flavor of the ingredients. The pineapple juice should create a frothy, airy foam providing texture and full citrus flavor to balance the spice of the whiskey and bitterness of the coffee. The Day Tripper presented in all its glory, next to a can of Foutillfour coffee.
  3. Strain over ice rock in a rocks or old fashioned glass (or serve up in a coupe glass).
  4. Finish it off by floating a few coffee beans on top of the foam or ice rock for a handsome garnish.
  5. Tip it back and enjoy.

Be sure to snap a photo of your drink and share on Instagram with the hashtag #TSFromHome.

The Chore Coat Style Guide

While other light layers fall in and out of style (seemingly with every season), the chore coat has endured, proving just as durable in the face of passing trends as it is on the job site. If you ask us, the staying power of this silhouette rests in that elusive combination of versatility, functionality, and practicality that we often call “timelessness.”

Whether you’ve already got a closet full of chore coats in different colors and fabrics or you’re on the hunt for your first one, this guide has everything you need to start making the most of our favorite do-it-all layering piece.
