Taya's Special Collection
In The Shadow
Of Mount Shasta
When our friends at Belcampo invited us up to their 20,000 acre ranch at the base of Mt. Shasta we turned, packed the truck, and headed out long before sun up. The next 4 days came with herding cattle, weighing this year's heritage turkeys, cooking slowly over an open flame, and soaking in as much knowledge as we could about running a ranch the old fashioned way. All told, Belcampo does to perfectionist standards.
From the intricate cattle migrations to the way they grow their grains to resist drought, Belcampo's approach to sustainable ranching was an eye opener. These new friends quickly felt like old ones the more time we spoke about our common values around doing business. At the end of our time there, we thanked them for putting this collection to the test of everyday ranch life and we look forward to watching the sun set on that 14,000 foot mountain from Rex's favorite spot again soon.
