The Richness of Portugal with Omid Scheybani
Fashion is fervently debated and “what’s hot” comes, goes, and can vary significantly as you hop from one country to the next. For that reason, we lean on classic silhouettes and materials that have endured the test of time. At the end of the day, a great outfit takes a backseat to the individual and their story. This is one of those stories, from our pal Omid.
Omid, a German-born Iranian, grew up crossing time zones and his knack for life on the road has only multiplied since. He has become notorious for his solo trips to not-so-frequently traveled to places. While you’ll be hard-pressed to find somebody who doesn’t list traveling as a top passion, rest assured Omid’s not your typical globe-trotting gallivanter.
During some recent downtime, Omid stopped by our store on Valencia, did a little shopping for an upcoming wedding to Spain. Knowing Omid, the trip was bound to be epic and so we turned over the reigns of our journal to showcasing Omid’s photos from his Spanish escapade.
Seconds after being given a reason to travel to Spain, Omid was on the next plane out of the valley. Not only would he attend one of his best friend’s weddings, but he’d also enjoy some personal time. His travels would start in Santiago de Compostela and lead to Porto, Portugal, a region erupting with culture, idyllic stately bridges, and exquisite Port Wine, which has so famously given name and reputation to the city.
When Omid first outlined his trip’s itinerary and asked for a shirt that could go along for the miles, the Hyde was a no-brainer. While it may be categorized as a formal garment, it's truly far more versatile than that. It's classic, clean look of the Hyde’s French front helps you easily flow from the vivacious Spanish clubs to rolling hills of Portuguese vineyards without looking out of place. That being said, a rinse-off comes highly recommended between the two events, even if it’s just a dip in the ocean.
