Paper to Product: Edition 235

We're pulling out all the stops for our last crowd fund of the year - a limited production of The Rover Jacket in a gorgeous beeswaxed plaid wool from British Millerain.

Founded in 1880, British Millerain is the grand daddy of waxed fabrics. Since 1922 they have been manufacturing the highest quality waterproof cloths in the lovely, damp town of Whitworth, Lancashire. Garments constructed from their fabric have served the Queen, Royal Army and country gents alike for decades.

While their signature product is waxed cotton, they also make a stunningly handsome 13 ounce beeswaxed, English lambswool. We were able to secure a small lot of this wool which we will be offering up in a Workshop release limited to 90 units.

Like our last run of Rover Jackets, the body of this jacket, the collar, cuffs and pockets will be lined in warm, supple 10 ounce moleskin cloth. The design features two traditional deep bellowed waist pockets and a single bellowed chest pocket with snap closure. The sleeve finishes into a working cuff with two snaps for adjustable closure and the underarms are vented with studded grommets.

This jacket is undoubtedly our finest work to date. It comes on the eve of a new year that holds a slew of new designs and fabrics that have all of us here very excited. We are proud of what we have accomplished thus far but we know that we are capable of even greater work. This jacket is proof that we are able to make products that can hang right in there with some of the the most respected brands in the world. As we continue to learn and progress with every week and new product, we are confident that our best work still lies ahead of us.
