Paper to Product: Edition 219

Two years ago, we met a few industry friends for dinner, drinks, and conversation. One beer turned to many and the talk shifted, as it often does, to workwear.  It struck us that no one was making a work pant for the modern man. Sure, classic brands were selling overalls and double-knee pants, but the fits were baggy, the colors stale, and the manufacturing had long since moved offshore.

The Good Acre Chore Pant is our answer to modern work pants. They're fitted, tough-as-nails, and proudly made in the USA. Last March, we perfected the Chore Pant with our third iteration. Using a washed 12-oz. cotton duck canvas from the storied Mt. Vernon Mills, we were able to improve softness and color retention.

Today, we are proud to introduce a work shirt shirt to match – the Good Acre Chore Shirt. The shirt features finished double-needle fell construction, oversized front bucket pockets, reinforced elbow patches, and vintage-inspired tin buttons. It's made from a 7-oz. duck canvas that is light enough to wear alone, yet durable enough to function as a protective outer layer. As always, the canvas is pre-washed to minimize shrinkage and improve comfort from the onset.

Together, our Chore Shirt and Pant represent a significant step forward in American-made workwear. These garments are as durable as the classics, but their tailored fit and clean lines make them far and away the most versatile you will find. Whether you're a carpenter, farmer, or restaurateur, we're confident the Good Acre collection will help you complete your toughest jobs.
