The Adventure Kit: The Black Brook

Tom Brokaw once said, "If fishing is a religion, then fly fishing is high church." If fly fishing is high church then I don't even know what Atlantic salmon fishing.
I do know that the elusive creatures will test our patience this coming week as we spend our days swinging flies by their nose. We're lucky enough to be taking to the river at the Black Brook Salmon Club. A little hiatus from reality if you will, spending time out in the woods enjoying the serenity of the river with family. Sipping rum on the porch in the evenings and getting caught up properly.
Two handed rods in tow, the long days in New Brunswick, Canada this time of year are going to make way for lots of fishing. We can only hope the fish are in and they're interesting in what we're showing them. If the fishing's slow it won't really matter. Good folks, food and lots of time standing in a river waving a stick will bring everything back to center.
