Weekend Adventure Kit: His and Hers.
We caught up with our friends Tyler and Krystal to see what they'd be packing for their ideal summer weekend in Northern California. Both had slightly different theories of 'ideal summer weekend' but, hey, life's about compromise.
Tyler opted to pack for a trip into one of his favorite places in the world, the Golden Trout Wilderness. It sounds idyllic because it is. Spending a weekend hiking in and trout bumming in the Sierras is never a bad thing. Small rods, warm sun, crisp streams and so many fish you quickly lose count on any given day. Tyler packed our Glacier Shirt and Camp Shorts as well as some trusty adventure items and his favorite box of nymphs.
Krystal packed in search of a road we out west commonly just refer to as "The One." Take the coastal route and go where you want, be it north or south. Either way is beautiful and are great ways to get some salt air blown in through the windows. Whether or not Tyler convinced Krystal to bask in the sun stream side or not is yet to be seen but she definitely has aspirations to learn more about what us trout bums tend to call, standing in a river and waving a stick. Krystal packed up our new Katherine shirt (in the Workshop now) and some other essentials for a good day relaxing in pretty much any sunny setting, be it the beach, a park or, the river.
Here's to hoping everyone is packing it in early today and getting out on an adventure of your own.
