Edition 173: The Everyday Chambray California

Yes our friend Joseph is devilishly handsome but there is a bit more to this story. There is a jarring but justifiable juxtaposition going on here: a chambray shirt underneath a tailored wool suit. Since its inception, chambray has always been a uniform for the laborer, the tinkerer and even the naval officer.

It is usually always found with a boxy, utilitarian cut and oversized working pockets. However, if the iconic, rugged fabric is woven a bit finer, cut a bit more tailored and appointed with the right details it then becomes an incredibly versatile shirt.

The applications of adventure and work are separated merely by a thorough washing and some deft ironing. Adventure grade shirting suited for work. Kind of revolutionary, right? We modesty and to humbly give this shirt our highest honor by placing it in the family of Everyday Shirting.
