Edition 172: Washed Canvas Project Jacket & Sequoia Stripe Tee

What do we know about layers? To start we will spare you the dumb Mark Twain quote about summer here. But we will have you know that a heavy tee and duck canvas overcoat go a long way. Sure you could just wear a puffy vest and call it a day. Just don't expect any compliments or anyone to take you too seriously on matters other than accounting.

Both of these pieces will give you a lot of wear. The tee is great on its own. Amazingly soft considering how beefy it is. It will serve you well outside on most fall days and it will also look great layered underneath a burlier solid shirt like an oxford.

The jacket will also serve you dutifully until it gets time to really put some effort into de-icing the windshield. The cut is tailored but designed to layer a sweater and button down underneath. We kept the design of the coat simple and classic so that when you wear just a nice button up with it you look really put together. The idea is that you can keep the coat on inside if you like. It serves more like a casual sport coat and less like a true outwear piece. After all, you are dressing for life.
