Lady Adventure Kit: China Camp
What do you do when the weather is temperamental and the chance for sun and beach and no wind might be relegated to one tiny, tiny bit of land? You head straight there and make sure you bring your back up plan: exploration. We headed to China Camp, across the Golden Gate and tucked away in a north-easterly part of San Rafael. It was mellow, it was sunny, and there was plenty of room to stretch out amongst the "plein air" painters. We watched the few boats anchored out, day dreaming about buying up our own little 28 footer and taking day sails. That salt water that was 10 degrees warmer than anywhere else... At the end of it all we walked through the old encampment and shrimping village that was China Camp. Read about the history of this solitary spot and marveled at it's continued existence, a hundred thirty something years later.
It was the perfect excuse to take our newest women's release to the beach, the Chambray Dolphin shorts.
And tagging alongside:
A beach towel from Chance and a blue cotton khadi scarf (doubling as a sarong!) both sold at our new Chestnut Street store.
Straw hat from Mille in Minneapolis- one of our favorite lady's retailers
Birks, bikinis, and good books...
