Style Icon: Casually Buttoned Up

Women have been doing a great job of making men's clothes look cool for years. We're not talking about women designing men's clothes, we're talking about women wearing men's clothes. It started with a pair of pants and a button up shirt. It's certainly not a new concept- not by any stretch but it's one with endless room to expand upon.

Here on the women's side of things at Taylor Stitch we uphold that idea and look to the men's pieces for inspration, specifically the ones which women have made so effortlessly cool over the years, just by simply donning. We may not be branching out into trousers just yet but we're working on perfecting the button down shirt- one that gives an air of femininity but the ease and casual coolness of your grandfather's, or your father's, or your boyfriend's borrowed shirt. If clothes were style icons the perfect button down shirt would be king...or queen. So in celebration of this week's upcoming release, the Caroline White Pinpoint Oxford, we give you some of the greatest moment in button down history.
