Edition 153: The Sun Bleached Italian Denim Pullover

One can't help but grin when reading Kerouac's account of joining the merchant marines in order to escape a murderous plot in The Hippos Were Boiled in Their Tanks. The man who embodied anti-establishment dressed in sailor's clothes, everything he owned stuffed in a canvas duffel.

That was the simple inspiration for this pullover. A sailor's shirt. Not spit shined on an aircraft carrier, but stowed away on a rusting tanker headed for Iceland. If you really want to go for it, the shirt looks incredible with some white jeans or washed and faded out chinos. All the benefits of singing up without shipping out.
