Ladies Club: Aleksandra Zee
What better way to kick off our new feature, The Ladies Club, than with a visit to our favorite woodworker, the lovely Aleksandra Zee. The Ladies Club is dedicated to the woman who inspires our Taylor Stitch Women's line; the talented gal who clears her own path. We'll be finding ways to catch these ladies engaged in the work they thrive on and discover how each incorporates our women's pieces into her unique wardrobe. Making clothing for accomplished gals who get down to business with grit and grace is a pleasure we want to share, so to better acquaint you these inspiring women, we have put together a list of our favorite questions.

Where did you grow up? In a small beach town in Southern California called Dana Point.
What keeps you busy? I am always busy with something. Mostly it is filling commissions and orders, but when I am not doing that I am on the hunt for materials or taking adventures with my love to become inspired.
How do you decompress? By taking a break from the city. As little as a trip to the beach or an adventure into the woods, it lets me free my mind, get the clutter out and then I can return to my work refreshed and ready to make something new.
Place you'd most like to live? So many places, definitely Spain or Amsterdam. If in the US I would love to spend some serious time in Santa Fe New Mexico.
Style icon? James Dean, Brigitte Bardot and any Lumberjack.
Favorite meal? Chicken soup
Wardrobe essentials? Work boots, a good button down, everything denim, and overalls.
Your best accessory? My glasses, I can't see very well without them.
Ideal trip? A road trip with my love. Preferably through the southwest or the mountains.
And last but not least! Your style mantra? Never too much denim. Comfortable, functional, can get dirty, and always look badass.
