We’ve got a couple summertime staples in store for you this week — Madras shirts and camp shorts have become perennial favorites and go to warm weather friends at TS. 
Developed in India, madras is a breathable fabric that was a trade favorite of the East India Company in the 1600s. The bleeding madras was also the subject of a Brooks Brothers PR disaster in U.S. in the early 1960’s, only to be rescued by David Ogilvy’s masterful marketing spin. History aside, the vibrant patterns are just damn handsome, as our buddies from North Menswear will surely attest. 
The accompanying camp short is simply your workhorse short for the summer. It fades beautifully with every road trip and subsequent wash to try and get the campfire smell out of it.
