Custom Fit Shirts

We started as custom shirt makers and will always offer custom shirting services. Please understand that while we are improving our online shop, we are unable to offer the ability to design and order custom shirts online. Do not fret, our online shirting design tools are being improved and will return shortly.

For those of you who live in the San Francisco Bay Area and are interested in being measured for a custom shirt please contact us to set up an appointment. One of the companies three founders will be happy to come by your home or office with our fabric library and work with you to design a shirt.

For our existing clients, please know that we have all of your measurements carefully stored. Our policy is not to constantly bother you about buying more shirts, but if you are interested in having more shirts made, please contact us to set up an appointment. Now that your measurements are saved and confirmed, it is as easy as picking out a few new fabrics.

About our shirts

There are 12 measurements that go into creating your unique pattern. We are very proud to say our shirts are sewn by a third generation family business in New Jersey that has over 75 years of custom shirt making experience. Single needle tailoring is used throughout each shirt. Every component of the shirt from collar to stitching on the button holes is up to your design whim. If you are unsure of any part or style attribute we are able to work with you to help compliment your personal style. We carry a full library of fabrics that range from 2 ply Japanese milled cottons to super 140's twills woven in Europe's oldest and most famous mills. The shirts range in price from $150 to $400 and there is no order minimum.

The process

To get fitted for a Taylor Stitch shirt, please contact us to set up an appointment. We will then meet you with a measuring tape, our swatch library and our design book. In order to build a stronger relationship, we only allow you to order one shirt to start. You will receive your first shirt in 4 weeks. Once you have worn and laundered your shirt, we will make any fit adjustments you would like on our dime. Once you are completely happy with the fit, you can release the rest of your shirt selections or you can set up another appointment to look over our fabric library again. At this point you may order as many shirts as you like.
